About this website
The Cultural Connections for Learning website is part of a two year Australian Learning and Teaching Council (ALTC) funded project, ‘Promoting resilience and effective workplace functioning in international students enrolled in health courses’, involving a joint academic and industry project team from Queensland University of Technology, University of South Australia, the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Ramsay Health Care and the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
This website will help international students and clinical staff to function more effectively in the clinical environment to become more confident in working together within the context of clinical education.
It has been developed from real life stories to meet your needs. There are plenty of ideas, useful tips, resources and lots more!
Why use it?
There are many reasons why international students may find it hard to adjust to study programs being undertaken in another country.
It can also be challenging for staff, including clinical staff in the workplace, to effectively support international students during their learning journeys.
However, many students and staff have terrific experiences and tips to share. Explore the website to find out more!
